Denis "Gato" Cruz is a visionary creative with a passion for using art, technology, and education to uplift communities. As Creative Director & Tech Manager of Adaia, he brings his expertise in event production, graphic design, and technical direction to craft immersive worship experiences that inspire and unite people in faith.
With a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a Bachelor’s degree in 3D Animation, Denis merges creativity with deep-rooted purpose. His background in design, first cultivated at DASH High School, has shaped his ability to transform ideas into impactful visual and experiential moments. Beyond Adaia, Denis serves as a tech lead at Our Savior Lutheran Church, ensuring seamless worship environments that foster connection and praise.
Since 2011, he has been at the forefront of community empowerment through his nonprofit, iMagi Nation Inc., where he creates educational and creative programs for children across the U.S. His dedication to spiritual and personal development has earned him accolades, including the 2023 Outstanding Contribution to the Spiritual and Wellness Community Award.
An accomplished author, graphic designer, educator, and event producer, Denis is also the author of The iMagi Creation Story, a children’s book that reflects his heart for storytelling and inspiring young minds. In addition, he actively supports and mentors creative entrepreneurs, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical resources to help them thrive.
Whether he’s laying down rhythms on the djembe, painting murals, directing stage productions, or bringing events to life through tech and design, Denis infuses every project with his signature passion and energy. Currently, he is training to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), furthering his commitment to helping individuals grow and flourish.
At the core of all he does—whether through Adaia, his nonprofit work, or his artistic ventures—is a mission to glorify God, empower others, and create spaces where people can experience His transformative presence.
